SUMMER CAMP CELEBRATION:
A WEDDING AT LAKEDALE RESORT, SAN JUAN ISLAND

JULIA & DOUG

Community and connection were the key priorities for this amazing camp-inspired weekend-long wedding where the friends and family filled the entire San Juan Island property with loving energy. From a picnic style dinner on Friday evening (complete with s’mores) to the wedding day of outdoor activities and casual fun followed by an incredible wedding, the joy was palpable. Muted natural jewel tones were used in the wildflower-centered decor, and the couple jokingly referred to wanting a party like Bilbo Baggins’ 111th Birthday, which we drew inspiration from! A horse-trailer bar created a centerpiece for the reception to focus on local drinks & spirits, and a pie and ice cream buffet was a hit in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. In the end, we lost power about 10 minutes into dancing but it turned into an epic generator-powered “party in the dark” that our couple and their guests will never forget!
