Simply Wed was started in 2002 by Events professional Kirstie Warren. Her experience directing events began in London while Kirstie was earning her BS in Fashion Merchandising. The opportunity arose to work backstage at professional fashion shows and Kirstie jumped at the chance. From there she progressed to planning, managing and producing additional shows thorough her University and London Fashion Week, and again back in the United States.

Shortly after completing her degree she became engaged and embarked on the journey that would soon transform her life. She began to plan her own wedding. In 2001 the wedding that would define her career took place. Each vendor was hand-chosen by the bride and was a personal connection. She designed her own décor. She made each and every invitation, program and favor. And she endured much stress. While (almost) everything was perfect, Kirstie could not help but think how wonderful it would have been to have a wedding coordinator there, holding her hand and giving her more time to enjoy her own wedding. These thoughts soon became the seeds that formed Simply Wed.

Kirstie has always maintained ties with both Simply Wed and other organizations. From 2002-2003 Kirstie acted as the Director of Events at a contemporary art museum, producing everything from corporate seminars and private social events, to art fairs, exhibition openings and galas. From there she has ventured out on her own and taken on event management contracts with other local arts and non-profit organizations. In 2004 Kirstie directed over 25 gala and filmmaker events for the Seattle International Film Festival during a three-month period. Keeping up with the various styles of events ensures that Kirstie maintains one of the most talented and reliable groups of vendors around. However, her own company remains devoted to one style of event only, bringing you the attention and devotion that you deserve for your wedding.

Kirstie is an active consultant member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC). Additionally, Simply Wed is featured on Wedding-Club.com, an invitation-only nationwide consortium of the top wedding professionals in the country, theknot.com, and has earned the BRO seal of approval from By Recommendation Only, an online party and wedding resource guide. She has been featured in publications such as Seattle Bride and The Knot Seattle.
